Instructional Designer

Educational Media Specialist & Voice Artist

Instructional Design

I’ve been working in the instructional design world for the last seven years. Coming out of academia I found myself attracted to the world of online education and content writing, and instructional design was a new field full of possibilities. Since then, I’ve developed eLearning-based training from concept to final product, developed audiovisual content and graphics to enhance the effectiveness and engagement of my training, and delivered professional eLearning narration for my trainings and various other forms of instructional content.

I have worked with Temple University for the Fox School of Business as a Senior Instructional Designer and training & development specialist for much of the time since beginning in the field, with freelance work and personal projects rounding out my experience. I offer my skills in eLearning narration and instructional video content as freelance services to companies in need of qualified and talented designers in the space. Let me know if you’d like to discus opportunities for collaboration together.

Performance-Centered Voice Over

E-Learning

I discovered my love of voice-over when I started designing eLearning. I think audio-visual media is essential to good eLearning, and when you’re just starting out it’s up to you to create all of those little elements you can’t outsource yourself. I started doing my own voice-over and videos, and soon after realized that I actually had quite the knack for it.

Audiobooks

Man, do I love listening to a good audiobook. I love it so much I decided I needed to get in on the fun. Recording audiobooks is one of my favorite things, and I never forget how amazing it is that I’m able to use my experience on the stage to bring the genius of people’s mind to life, solely through my voice.

Educational Content Creation

I always imagined my creative energy was best spent in performance and written expression, but then I began exploring video as a medium and was delighted to find that I could combine writing, audio narration, visual storytelling, and performance all in one. I began making videos for YouTube, then training videos for my work in eLearning, then expanded to spokesperson and UGC work for clients needing educational or promotional videos.

Check out my portfolio site for examples of my audio narration, educational video content, UGC, and spokesperson work.
